NCC stands for National Cadet Corps. It is a military training wing of Indian Army. It is a voluntary programme and any student can join it. The duration of this training programme is 3 years. This programme teaches the students discipline, dedication and leadership skills. NCC training offers many benefits to the trainees. After attending a minimum of 75% of NCC training, the students get A, B and C certificates from NCC according to their levels. These certificates help the students to build their career in Air Force, Army and Navy. Apart from this, many organizations from public and private sector consider the NCC certificates as an authentic testimonial of noteworthy expertise.
Purash Kanpur Haridas Nandi Mahavidyalaya has a long-standing NCC unit under the guidance of 41 Bengal Battalion of Indian Army. The NCC unit is college's pride. Dedicated Army officers visit the campus regularly to train NCC cadets of our institution. Students from neighbouring educational institutes also come to attend our NCC drill. Many of our NCC cadets have attended various Special Camps and the prestigious Republic Day Parade at the national capital. Our NCC cadets take part in social service activities such as Tree-plantation, Blood Donation Camp etc. Students having NCC certificates have acquired the opportunity of placement in defence services.
