Teaching – Learning

At present all courses are under Choice Based Credit System with semester system of examination.  Within the capacity of its human resources and available infrastructural facilities, several departments of the college apply state-of-the art educational tools and up-to-date technology in the courses and programmes it offers.


Several departments organise seminars, quizes, debates, extempores where students participate to deliver lecture that to improve their learning skill and in-depth understanding of the subjects. In addition, reputed resource persons are invited to lecture in seminars, conferences, workshops that are organised by the college for the benefit of advance learners. Some departments organize regular film screenings to ingnite interest among the students about the subjects they are learning in their curriculum. For slow learners more specifically for students belong to minority, SC, ST and OBC category there are provision of remedial classes in each and every subject. Even general students are free to request and attend remedial classes to catch any missed lesson delivered  in his/her absence.


In compliance with the CBC system of teaching-learning tutorial classes, project writing, field work and practical classes are arranged adequately by respective departments.


Monitoring of Students’ Performances:

Performances of the students in achieving courses objective several unit tests are taken time to time. Internal assessments and Tutorials are regularly organized as per the University regulation to evaluate the students’ performance before the End-Semester examination.


Mentoring of the students:

To monitor the performance and engagement of the students closely, all the honours students are divided in several groups to be mentored by the subject teachers.  Their academic performances are carefully scrutinized in the mentoring sessions. Further, they are counselled for problems and crises that they might be facing, be it academic or personal.

The college has a Career Counseling Cell sponsored by the UGC

Digital Library

The college has a central library that housed learning resources like about 21000 text books
